From 9-11PM we will be graced with the inimitable grooves of Portland’s
DEAFCHILD (Chicknhed, Sunrise Social Club)
This exhibition will feature several new, and recent original collage works by local Portland visionary artist Christian Collins, aka Blue Spectral Monkey. Working with magazines and other print media, Christian creates intricate, colorful and psychedelic montages by hand. Each piece is a result of hundreds of… hours of organization, detailed cutting, cropping, layering and finishing, without the use of Photoshop. (except to prepare the files for printing.) After showing last year as part of the Supertrash 10 group exhibit at Anka Gallery, he went back to the laboratory and emerges now with incredible new works to tantalize your ocular and mental sensibilities. Prints and original works will be available for sale.
